Located on the Hathaway Ranch south of Swede Creek. Plot is located in a vernal swale, now dry. Pattern repeats along this ephemeral drainage. Surrounding vegetation is dominated by exotics. Plot captures a small amount of the adjacent upland. Overall cover is low with relatively low species diversity, which is typical of vernal pools in this area.; Four wheeler trail crosses the southern side of the plot. Grazing in plot. Property under conservation easement. Many cattle hoof prints in plot.
